ACP Sheet Thicknesses We Stock
3mm ACP Sheets
Lightest and most economical. Best for interior cladding, signage boards, partitions and furniture panels.
4mm ACP Sheets
The most versatile grade — strong enough for exteriors and the standard choice for shop fronts and building facades.
6mm ACP Sheets
Heavy-duty panels for high-rise buildings, large commercial exteriors and structurally demanding facades.
Coatings available: PE-coated panels for interiors and budget projects, and PVDF-coated panels for exteriors where UV resistance and colour retention matter. Fire-retardant (FR) grade ACP with a mineral-filled core is available for buildings with strict fire codes.
How ACP Sheets Are Made
An ACP sheet is a sandwich construction: two thin aluminium coils bonded to a lightweight core, with protective and decorative coatings on the outside. From top to bottom, a panel is built in these layers:
- 1Protective film (removed after installation)
- 2PVDF or PE decorative coating
- 3Aluminium coil (top skin)
- 4Adhesive layer
- 5Polyethylene or mineral-filled core
- 6Adhesive layer
- 7Aluminium coil (bottom skin)
- 8Anti-corrosive service coating
Exterior-grade panels use a PVDF top coating; interior and signage panels typically use a PE coating. Fire-retardant (FR) panels replace the standard polyethylene core with a mineral-filled core.

ACP Sheet FAQs
What is an ACP sheet used for?
ACP sheets are used for building facades, shop fronts, signage boards, false ceilings, wall partitions, modular kitchens, and furniture. They work equally well for exterior cladding and interior decor.
What is the price of a 3mm ACP sheet?
The price of a 3mm ACP sheet varies depending on the finish, colour, coating, and quantity you need. 3mm sheets are the lightest option and are typically chosen for interior applications, signage, and partitions. Contact us with your project size for an exact quote.
What's the difference between 3mm, 4mm, and 6mm ACP sheets?
The number refers to the panel's overall thickness. 3mm is the lightest and most affordable, used mainly indoors. 4mm is the most versatile, strong enough for exteriors and common on shop fronts and facades. 6mm is the heaviest-duty option, used on high-rise buildings and large commercial exteriors.
Is ACP sheet waterproof?
Yes. ACP sheets are weather and moisture resistant, which is why they are widely used for exterior cladding in India's varied climate. PVDF-coated panels offer the strongest resistance to rain, UV, and colour fading.
Can ACP sheets catch fire?
Standard PE-core ACP sheets are combustible, like most composite building materials. For buildings with strict fire codes, fire-retardant (FR) grade ACP sheets are recommended, which use a mineral-filled core to slow fire spread.
How long do ACP sheets last?
ACP sheets typically last 15 to 20 years or more, especially with a PVDF coating, which resists fading and weathering better than PE coating.
Can ACP sheets be used for home exteriors?
Yes, ACP is a popular choice for home facades, balconies, and gate or boundary cladding, giving a modern look at a lower cost than stone or metal cladding.
